2011 Peacemakers in Action Working Retreat
From August 7 to 12, I am participating in the working retreat held by Tanenbaum Center for Interreligious Understanding at Drew University, Madison, NJ. We are 14 people participating from 26 that have received the Peacemakers in Action Award from Tanenbaum. We come from the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe, and America. During these days, our main goal has been to form a network of peacemakers. With the assistance of Rev. Dr. William O. Lowery, US, we have achieved our goal and have form three clusters. It is so important that people who have the passion for peacemaking and peace-building come together. The voice of the guns must be silenced. We know that they create fear, pain, poverty, and death. The time must come that we are able to put all our resources to produce food, to build homes, to educate our children, to take care of the environment. Chencho Alas
